Chinese Licensed Psychotherapist | Ph.D. in Cognitive Neuroscience
I was born and raised in mainland China before moving to Canada in my 30s. As a psychotherapist and a woman, I'm highly aware of how patriarchy—woven seamlessly into everyday life through parenting, dating and working— stripped away her authenticity and subjectivity. That is, How do I feel? What do I need? My job is to help you regain the instinct to nurture yourself, leading to a free and fulfilling life.
My clients are mainly "good" women who navigate multiple roles as wives, mothers, daughters, employees, or employers. Often, they face challenges in fulfilling others' demands while neglecting their own needs. Others are awakening feminists, experiencing conflicts between traditional and modern identities.
I Specialize in:
C-PTSD (Complex Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder)
Prenatal decisions, identity transitions, birth trauma, prenatal/postpartum emotional health.
Children of narcissistic or abusive parents.
Recurring relational issues in intimate, family, peer and work relationships.
Grief and loss
Depression and anxiety
People-pleasing personality; difficulty standing up for oneself
Feelings of emptiness and confusion in career or life
LGBTQ-affirming therapy

Therapy services
All sessions are conducted via video at the moment. Each session is 50 minutes and costs 700 RMB, typically held once a week.
The current average length of my work is 25 sessions, with the longest to 3 years and the shortest around 10 sessions. Short-term therapy (around 10 sessions) generally alleviates emotional distress, and gains corrective experiences on old patterns. Long-term therapy (1 year and above) often leads to more profound, fundamental changes in personality and behaviour.
Currently, I have a full caseload and have started a waitlist. Any new client will have to wait 1-6 months depending on what time you are available and my open slots. If you want to join the list, please fill out this form. I will contact you and set up a 20-minute free video consultation when the slot you required is open.
My approach
"Experience is, for me, the highest authority" as Carl Rogers said. I'm not a follower of any single school of thought; instead, I continuously seek various theoretical frameworks to make sense of the phenomena and experiences I encounter in therapy.
Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP) and Intersubjectivity Theory shape my practice the most. Trauma and attachment theory also play a vital role. Additionally, feminist theory expands my perspective on understanding power dynamics in relationships.
Drawing from my background in Cognitive Neuroscience, I hold a holistic view of the brain-mind-body connection. Polyvagal Theory and Somatic Experiencing are indispensable in understanding and addressing trauma. These insights allow me to combine science with compassion, tailoring therapy to each client’s unique journey toward growth and healing.
